Janice |
10th April 1999 - 22nd June 2001 |
| Janice came from Naomi with Billy, after Sparky had been put to sleep and before Sooty was. She was named after Janice Joplin and lived up to it - previously I have used the heading 'Bad, Armed and Dangerous' to describer her! She proved to be a bit of a bully with the other cats but was wonderfully affectionate with me. |

| When I got her I hoped to show her, but she was not keen on shows and also had asn incorrect coat pattern, so after a few shows she was retired. I also exhibited her once (with Billy) where they made a great and favourable impression - Billy more than Janice though! The photo above and to the left was taken on that occasion. |

| Janice was a Brown Smoke Asian - another way of putting this is that she was a Brown Burmese with smoke, which is an effect of the silver gene in which the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of each hair is brilliant white. This could be seen even on the short fur on her toes, but the amount of silver was variable and often too much leading to a patchy kind of appearance. Here is her pedigree. |
